"You ran away from me."
"I ran right back though."
"I thought you were gone forever again."
I’m guessing I’m not the only one who totally fell in love with this scene. Lisbon actually confessing her fears to Jane. Him leaving her again. Not running away from the FBI, but from her. Twelve years knowing Jane, and she’s only just beginning to be truly honest with him. She could’ve waved off him asking her if she was okay, but she actually told him. Huge character development! She pours her heart out to him, ignoring Abbott who is fast asleep next to her, and doesn’t even realise the effect her words have on Jane until she looks at his face.
I just think this scene was really important in showing the development of Jane and Lisbon, and their relationship. I mean, Jane came back on the basis that he works with Lisbon, except he didn’t consider the fact that she might not want to work with him. And he wouldn’t have realised this if Lisbon didn’t open up to him. Which she did, in this scene.
